We are delighted to share some exciting updates (and no, this isn’t a regression to the mean—our department is truly exceptional!).

• Prof. Jonathan Bradley has joined the Department of Statistics as an Associate Professor (with tenure) from Fall 2025. Before coming to Mizzou, Prof. Bradley held the same rank at Florida State University. We welcome him warmly and look forward to the many “statistically significant” contributions he will bring.
• Prof. Scott H. Holan has been recognized with the prestigious title of Curators’ Distinguished Professor of Statistics—a fitting acknowledgment for his outstanding scholarship and leadership.
• Prof. Tony Sun has been honored as Curators’ Distinguished Professor Emeritus. His impact on the department and the discipline remains firmly in the “non-asymptotic” category—we will continue to feel it for years to come.
